Dr. Raed Shatara is an innovative leader, consultant, entrepreneur, and mentor with a track record of leveraging strong technical knowledge for product marketing, business development and system engineering. He has Significant contributions towards developments of emerging technologies with recognizable impact to automotive and military industries. Currently, he is a Senior Marketing manager for STMicroelectronics, Livonia, Michigan, responsible for Automotive MEMS business development and marketing in the Americas. Previously he was Senior Principal Systems Engineer for Raytheon Corporation in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and worked on the future generation of tactical communication and Electronic Warfare products. Before he worked for Raytheon, he was a Staff Research Engineer at Delphi Corp.’s Electronics and Safety division in Kokomo, Indiana, where he designed advanced diversity systems and next-generation receivers. His research interests include mobile communications & signal processing, Space Based Solar Power (SBSP) systems, Automotive ADAS and MEMS sensing Technologies, and Microwave systems engineering. Dr. Shatara has received 9 patents to date, he has published numerous papers, and has been recognized with Delphi’s “Boss” Kettering Award. After earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Western Michigan University and Purdue University, respectively, Dr. Shatara received the GM/Delphi fellowship to pursue a doctorate degree from Bundeswehr University in Munich, Germany.
