Shigeya Nakamura is a Professor of Business Development Group, Business strategy Department, Electronics Business Headquarters for Resonac, the new integrated company of Showa Denko K.K. and Showa Denko Materials Co., Ltd. (former Hitachi Chemical). He served as a Gruop Leader of the R&D Planning Group, Strategy Department, Electronics R&D Center where he has contributed as a leader on the Japanese side to the establishment of the US-JOINT consortium with domestic and overseas materials, substrate, and equipment manufacturers, in San Francisco, USA.
He began his career with Hitachi Chemical as Automobile plastic materials engineer. During his 15 as an engineer, he was responsible for development of Automotive plastic materials applied in Plastic Backdoor Modules and Foamed Exterior parts.
He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Shiga Prefecture, Japan, and a master’s degree at the MBA from the Shizenkan University, Japan.
