Jimmy Costa serves as Senior Vice President of Innovation and Semiconductor Strategy for the Applied Research Institute (ARI). Prior to joining ARI, Jimmy served in the same position with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). He continues to work closely with state and university leadership to grow the semiconductor industry in Indiana. He has held a variety of engineering and business roles, spending his entire career in the industry, most recently with an analog semiconductor company, where he was responsible for the global management of a large strategic customer. He started his career as a design engineer for an automotive tier 1 before moving into multiple positions within the overall semiconductor ecosystem, including business development, account management, and design services. Jimmy holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University.
