The Florida Semiconductor Engine (FSE) is a collaborative network of organizations, institutions, and people with a shared vision: To be a global leader in semiconductor advanced and specialty semiconductor packaging (ASP).
The Engine includes a robust ecosystem of companies, organizations, and universities that are strategically focused on offering technologies and capabilities to support semiconductor packaging design, test, evaluation, integration, prototyping and manufacturing challenges being faced today and into the future. FSE capabilities, technologies and resources will be made available to industries, markets, and applications that operate complex electronic systems in demanding environments. Providing this access within the FSE region of service ensures that these capabilities and assets will enable secure, trusted, and assured manufacturing to our nation’s most critical national defense and economic needs.
The mission of the Engine is to transform the U.S. semiconductor ASP industry through collaborative research and translation innovations, building the most advanced technical workforce, and creating regional economic prosperity with national and global impact.
A strategic focus on advanced and specialty packaging capabilities reflects the potential to leverage assets and capabilities in Florida to address urgent U.S. Economic and National Security Needs, as well as Industry- and Application-Specific Technology Needs.
